Good points, sir. I also agree that abundant consumption does not automatically or inherently equate to addiction. Alas, these ideas would probably just provoke JAV detractors into just saying "COPE!! COPE HARDER!" even though our perspectives aren't really a reflection of denial, but an ability to consider things with nuance rather than simply as black-and-white.

I think it's less of an issue for me since my tastes aren't very extreme at all. I don't even watch reipu (unless it's Madonna reipu where it turns into fkn enjoy in under 2 minutes). She knows I almost exclusively watch hags and can enjoy slampigs even up to the size of actresses like Yukari Orihara or Reo Fujisawa. What she doesn't know (and I make no effort to hide this - it just doesn't really come up) is my regular appreciation of a few really beautiful non-hags like Nao Jinguji, Akari Mitani, and Aika Yamagishi. I suspect she would be a little more jealous about these actresses versus the hags but she also knows watching porn doesn't mean she's being replaced or anything like that. It's just compartmentalised fantasy and not comparative.
Additionally, she doesn't know how much /jav/posting (especially hagposting) I do which unironically might be harder to explain kek it's funny that it's us essay autists who are in relationships though...
