It's pretty late into the diary to properly introduce it but, Mount Aso is an active volcano situated in the Aso region of Kumamoto prefecture. Mount Aso gives form to the large caldera landform with the largest area in the world at 380km2 [147 square miles].

____________________Explanation about Calderas!_______________________________________________________
First of all, "Caldera" means "Large pot" in Portuguese. [Note: The word caldera is actually taken into Japanese (as well as other languages like english) from Spanish, and the Portuguese equivalent is "caldeira"]
Large amounts of Magma spurting out in a huge pyroclastic eruption caused the volcanic chamber underground to become empty, collapse, thus forming a depression, Aso's Caldera.
The caldera today was formed about 90,000 years ago.

Now I'll present the Aso Milk Ranch!
When I was in the second grade of elementary school I couldn't go on a field trip to the ranch, which is why I really felt like going there. At the Milk ranch you can enjoy all sorts of things like milking cows, animal racing, making sausages and butter! Please give it a look!
