I wanted Sotsu to end with Rika and Satoko fighting and killing each other over thousands of worlds, sometimes manipulating and injecting people to get them to kill the other.

I wanted Higurashi to end as a BROKEN game where everyone in town has so many traumatic and bizarre memories carved into their souls that they have constant flashbacks of those awful events in every world, essentially rendering the "game" unplayable because every piece has lost their fucking mind and cannot function normally anymore.

It would be fitting for Rika and Satoko to abuse the loops so much as they fight each other that they mentally and metaphysically destroy every single one of their friends and turn them into irrecoverable schizos. After all, Eua did say that the memory leaks are PERMANENT and something like Abusive Teppei can never happen again because he will always have those memories making him become a better person.

The idea of Bern and Lambda utterly destroying their original world and rendering it unlivable and uplayable after violently abusing the loops for thousands of years, every person in Hinamizawa becoming a shadow of their former self with constant terrifying memories assaulting their minds every second and triggering the syndrome... Now that would be a fitting ending and explain why Bern and Lambda left Hinamizawa forever to become voyager witches. They broke their own reality. There can never be a peaceful Hinamizawa fragment again, or a Rena who isn't a full blown schizo from day one, because the memory leaks are permanent and they are all broken.
