There was an interview with ZUN where he revealed that the star in Yuugi's horn is actually a motherfucking Jojo reference. He said something to the effect of "this Jojo character is cool, so I gave Yuugi a star so she could be cool like him".

However I can't find it right now. Anyone know where it is?
