Pretty much, the setup I've thought up has Battler being very passive. I don't think he's 100% on board with his sister, and he's kidna sorta already married to Beato.
Any actions on his part would probably only lead him to Beato anyway, so to give the other girls a fighting chance they need the chance of a lifetime,
the quadrillion to one bet that they can swing his attentions their way before Beato realizes what's going on.
Thus, he sulks in his room like Kinzo once did, which is very boring, and therefore means whatever the girls are doing is far more important to know and more entertaining.
