That's not a fair comparison when you use the lifeless sprites from promotional art instead of the sprites of the actual VN. The remake adds a lot of dynamism, expressions and variations to the sprites so they look far from generic or plain.
I'd agree that Takeuchi's art for the gacha is shitty and could possibly be traced, but the remake is far better than that.
