Elona is barely a roguelike in that it only apes on the control scheme and gameplay, and permadeath exists, but only voluntarily anyways.

From what I've seen of recent dev videos of Elin, it still apparently uses tilebased & turnbased movement, and the UI has been much improved to include things like visual hotkeys, better menus and potential mouse interactions.

What I'm REALLY worried about is how Noa or someone else mentioned that Elin will prob be less risque due to trying to get onto Steam. Will we still have the freedom to recruit a little girl at the start? Will we still be able to marry said little girls (or basically anything we want for that matter)? Will we be able to use panties as thrown weapons? We will be able to whore ourselves out? Nuke Palmia? Breed everything?

Aiming for steam is just opening a whole new can of worms. The price you pay for more publicity, is more outrage in today's outrage culture of censorship and social justice
