>Going to a live show of a group whose music you haven't bought
It's not as if I can prove you didn't, but surely you can at least see why most people would have an easier time believing someone had Reese's for breakfast.

That would also imply you either live in one of the world's most expensive cities (if you're outside Japan) or are willing to travel to one to see a concert; saving a pissant $10 shouldn't be enough to you to even look for a fileshare instead of clicking 'buy' to have your music in seconds ad redownload it anytime you need to

>They get more of a cut from ticket sales from lives than CD sales

For acts that sell out stadiums on 100-stop tours and have tickets priced in the hundreds of $ that's very true but none of that applies to Perfume.

Their domestic tours aren't that huge, and outside Japan their tickets at face value aren't much more than their hardcopy albums (and actually less than limited editions) and they play in tiny venues with only a few international stops in ludicrously expensive cities. After the venue-cut, production company cut, travel costs & salaries of their tour crew, either shipping all their sound/light equipment or renting locally, and all the overhead costs of a show on the road, there simply wouldn't be enough left over for it to be lucrative for the artists.
