honestly not a bad idea, memes aside it's a great game to play when you know you're playing with like-minded retards

Vintage story which can be summarized as minecraft but with a higher ESRB rating and significantly more autism.
It got hosted every so often and progress is gradually made, but the game's progress ends at steel and in the version we played there was nothing much else to do with the regular 7-10 people we got. Next time it will be hosted is probably when the 1.19 update comes out since that's pretty close and has more content to chew on this time around.
The problem with long term games is that they we don't have the dedicated population for it. The overall theming if anything, is that the games we play are arcade-like and short, and you can tell that by just most of the games we played.
The current fad is Rimworld multiplayer, but it's hard to add new players because it's a chucked and fucked mod for a single player game with a porn mod slapped on top because it was the only one that allowed players to exclusively have their own character. As far as I know playercount dropped due to game performance being about as stable as morrowind on a chinese xbox, the occasional funny business happening to anons 2hus, and some went to singleplayer and cant be arsed to change around the modlist and config for multiplayer. IIRC the idea is to play until they make the ship and clear the game or burn out.
Otherwise a decent variety comes and goes. Racing games like skydrift and ballisticng. Source games like Sven Co-op and L4D2, Gmod and TF2 were suggested but we haven't played them yet. Older shooters like Serious Sam and DOOM was played, Hideous Destructor came up a couple times as an option. Touhou Diablo was a thing for a bit. 2hu GTA-SA was a rare event that was very memorable. An anon from /vm/ comes around every once in a while to shill his Ragnarok online server. I can't remember if anyone brought up playing Age of Ethanol. Basically we're up to play mostly anything so long as it has multiplayer no harder to set up than port forwarding and direct connect IP, is cheap or free, and 2hu content or mods exists but this is not a requirement. Another anon is hosting tournaments for soku, PoFV, and other touhou fightan games in a different thread.
In terms of thread health, we are as close to a general as you could get without actually being a general and we are thankfully devoid of namefags and drama. While you do see the same anons in games and hosting, it typically stays within the games and anons in threads are as identifiable as far as which 2hu they waifufag for. Shitposting is a given since we want to talk about the things that happen in games and there are rarely games in the middle of the week. While there is a little /v/ cross contamination it's whatever; it's a thread about video games, it's like asking does a bear shit in the woods.
