It's a pretty simple idea to conclude to. There is a strict hierarchy and clear master/servant divisions, so if you sand off the edges to make it cuter you have a Daughter -> Mom -> BBA familial relationship you can easily fit them too. The "Yakumo Family" being a fun concept to build from as a result, and it lets you do things like align them with older generational structures in Japan where the "sandwich" generation is caring for both their children and their retired parents illustrated here.
But it can also go both ways to Yukari and Ran being portrayed on more or less equal footing going by proportional age gap; though this is far more in the fanon side since you need to ignore more things in canon to have this be reasonable. Like before but it has different situations you can create for whatever Doujinshi you had in mind. Depending on how you want to spin gags there's room for their power dynamic to change so maybe you want a story where Ran is the real one in control, that's plausible enough to do. Or you can draw them having sex.

TL:DR It's because there's a lot you can do with the Yakumos and many directions to spin stories to. They're my favorite group in Touhou and this is one of the reasons why.

This is a given, but Ran would be very happy to have someone help with the chores while she does Yukari's job for her; and her happiness makes it worth the trouble. She's taking care of her own shiki who is young but a bit unreliable, and her master who is very whimsical and spends most of her time either drinking, harassing that shrine maiden, and sleeping. She does the work for three all by herself. You would be practically buying favors from her by doing dishes, cooking every once in a while, and give an extra pair of hands helping her manage her tails. Simply just being helpful and capable maybe make aburaage and tofu would make you very attractive in her eyes; give that a few years and you'll have all the heavenly mofu fluffing, childbearing fox pussy, and prostate massaging you'd ever want.

She's in the territory but I wouldn't call Ran a "True Hag". She fits the bill of an old maid or housewife, but isn't nearly as lonely or desperate as Yukari and the others. Still old enough to get blindsighted by someone interested.

You would be taken care of: by Ran. If not for her Yukari would run out of clean laundry and starve to death. Centuries of having an S-rank maid handle every estate affair has made her weak in household skills. Ran would appreciate having someone capable of doing their own chores and lightening her workload. She would gladly let you be in charge of Yukari's care.
