Why? The way they are, they look good, and they're probably why so many people like the series. Why change what works?

Okay so I can capture every spell card up to stage 4 (and then most until Scarlet Netherworld) but I can't for the life of me figure out Princess Undine. I can get by the lasers and the big danmakus fine, but the small blue ones in between always fuck me up, is there a way to get them nicely lined up so I can get through them? At the moment, I just try to move as little as possible but that doesn't seem to help.
I always end up losing like 2 lives in this spell card (again trying not to use bombs) and then the rage always fucks me over for the other ones, and I never have enough left for Remilia. I've already 1cc'd using bombs, but I'm trying to high score, so help is appreciated.
