Is the battle system the same as Fate/Extra's because I wanted to enjoy F/E but playing Rock-Paper-Scissors for 20 hours is not my idea of fun.

Any decent mage can make sure that the things in his path are the things that can be sacrificed. The first two turns always involve lands and less useful permanents being sacrificed, only if it gets to keep attacking after that will the most important things go (at which point you were losing hard anyways). A decent mage can just endure the initial destruction and then kill the eldrazi.

It's not mere destruction, though. The mechanics of annihilator force a sacrifice, so it can destroy even Indestructible things.
The mage gets to choose what's getting destroyed, but as far as fluff goes, Eldrazi are just blasting things out of existence because they're so damn crazy.

Still, the point I was raising originally is that nothing is immune to the effects of Annihilation, and if Emrakul was left to his own devices for too long, even legends must succumb.

As much as Emrakul can die. It cannot touch the graveyard (although this is more of a mechanical twist so there's no cheap ways to just sacrifice/revive it), and if it was really that simple then every planeswalker who's ever looked at an Eldrazi Titan would not wet themselves and cry.

There's more to the story than the mechanics of cards, y'know.

Very rarely, and even then, only usually adaptations of VNs/LNs I've read. I usually hate them, as adaptations never fulfill me.

Except Fate/Zero. I greatly enjoyed that.


Don't read manga, though. Last one I read was the Tsukihime manga. It was quite good, but then, I only read it because I had previously heard it was quite good.

The transition from a format with an independent narrator to one without will always cause a lot of the details to vanish, as they'd have to find some way to make a character narrate it if they wanted to say something, while an independent narrator would just write it out.

And it's really hard to hammer in a 3rd person voice narrator without a framing device of some sort. It's an excellent adaption, but it's not trying to be a book.

Zouken and Tokiomi still seem pretty certain the Grail can still grant wishes, and the Einzbern family do not fucking care and will not tell you so.
