As someone who had a ton of /vy/ pre-2020, it really fucking sucks to see these kids get associated with vtubers and it doubly so sucks because Cover went full-in on trying to appeal to them. I knew it was going to be a problem when they made one of their talents take a two week break and make an apology in English, despite not having an english fanbase, and I was sadly pretty much spot-on; I've seen on Futaba while browsing for porn at least one or two threads showing off her chat. One of the anons in the thread even said "is she a foreign streamer? w" or something along those lines which was funny until it became pretty sad. I didn't know it'd ever come to this degree, but I fucking despise the woman who was a big part in bringing all of this here by crying to a /pol/tard when her monetization died and doing r*ddit streams, dislike the people who saw they got popular for haha funny anime girl sings scatman and doubled down on it, and incredible sadness for the people like the girl I mentioned who literally cannot even speak with her fanbase anymore as she doesn't know English at all.

But most of all, I fucking despise Cover, as none of this would have happened had they actually protected their talents. Not "from the dangers of EOPs", which they should have but that's a different story, but all of this started because someone got their monetization revoked and her company refused to/was too incompetent likely the former as it wasn't the first time it happened and they hired a known stalker as the stalkee's manager but that's another thing to help and the aforementioned /pol/youtuber thing made it all start tumbling down. Something that other companies, hell even some independents, can figure out in a week, and Cover still has so much trouble with it that they're still having issues to this day because nobody there knows how to send a fucking email to Youtube. I could give a whole history lesson on it but frankly put, it doesn't matter anymore. None of this does.
