If you're bad enough you'll be willing to risk a little trial-and-error to find the one that will lift you up with minimal (or no) side effects.
I went through two before finding the one that was right for me. One (esctialopram) gave me the shakes something crazy and had me almost passing out all the time, the other (nortriptyline) didn't work but gave me some of the most terrifying, physically excruciating nightmares I've had in my life.
The third (Mirtazapine) has worked slowly but surely with no side effects other than a short-term sleepiness after taking them (but you can take them before bed so that becomes a good thing).
Still, rather have a few intense periods of suffering followed by 7/10 for the rest of my life (which may still be improving) than constant, unending suffering.
If you can, ask for that third one because it has a reputation of having little to no side effects. I think it's new or something.

Nah, I've been here since early 2005. Originally jp wasn't all that bad, such a shame to see how bad it's gotten. I digress, I'll be taking this thread to /v/.

Rather sad when /v/ has better discussions than /jp/.
