Anyone else having trouble getting over seacats? i was playing it when it first got translated in 2007, then i dropped it for a few years after like ep 5 when a bunch of crazy shit happened in my life and long story short i finished it last November. Now I can't even tell if I'm pissed or sad. Especially since I dragged it on and made it a bigger part of my life as a result. The whole idea of Meta-waifu-Beatrice being Shkanon who was a bitter tranny because s/he was forgotten made me fucking mad. And not even for reasons that I made that sound like. Like I don't even know if I understand that part of the story right. And that final arc where Battler is alive and becomes an amnesiac emo old guy rubbed me the wrong way too. But the way Umineko is I can't even tell which parts we're supposed to believe to be real and which parts are interpretations of possibilities or whatever. I really don't want to reread it because I feel like the parts I hate about the story such as everything being fake meta alternates to other people and theories[/spoilers] and how they basically deconstructed Beatrice to the point of destroying her makes me not want to even bother. I don't know what I'm asking you guys, I guess am I misunderstanding something? Is there a better way to look at all this? Did I forget how to interpret the story from the 5+ year hiatus?
