The weirdest thing about that scene was that Kaoru clearly has problem understanding some concepts and yet Tamamori fails to understand his "son" is literally mentally challenged. "If he doesn't understand it, I really have a stupid son", yeah no shit Sherlock, he's five mentally and literally retarded. I have on idea what the writer was trying to do there, to be honest.

Checking around the web, a handful of people, which is not surprising giving 2dee4you "it was all a dream" have always an audience, see theories like "Ash is sin a coma" or "Squall is dead". I must say I'm not opposed to those kind of twists, they can be done right, but I don't think it would have worked for Hashihime without Minakami's route being "real" you essentially don't even have a story, Tamamori's flaws/action/development exist because of that route. Without it you have... barely a character. The story is too tied to the first two routes to work without them.

As for the last pairing The reactions are pretty much negative. Even people who don't care about these stuff and understand that fiction=/=reality were weirded out in the same way people who read Usagi Dropped were, it's a bait and switch and tonally different from anything that the story previously portrayed (and contradicts all the Ikeda's stuff, uh), especially if you compare it to the tone of the first routes. The rest is "meh, don't care". I've seen people who like the pairing, and they are also the ones that don't understand Kaoru is the same age as Tamamori (which is understandable given the messy narrative of the route) which means they think Tamamori must have started the grooming process on his own son when he was like 10 which is ??? I mean, to each its own and I don't particularly care what 2d shit people fap to, I just don't think it works well in the context on this story.
