I'm glad she isn't the main protagonist.
I like how she can be pretty dickish herself (very rarely) and how she's obviously a low-key manipulator to the villagers for their faith (she's obviously very kind regardless, but she has a job to do). Her dynamic with Reimu is also pretty excellent. Their personalities clash well, and yet they still have good relations since they learn a thing or two from each other.

Sanae's role as one of more prominent characters is perfectly fitting for someone like her. Now what would be cool is if she had more chapters centering on her. That's good enough for me.
