Interesting talk. They were telling that to her way before her debut.
She also says that Souya-san retirement from Animare but still staying in 774inc opens up for other members who wants to do the same thing or for people who wants to join 774inc but doesn't want to do group activity.
For me this changes protects the members from something like what happened with holo live. So it's a good change.
Mimi could have done that but I think she could not because contract stuff from her old group or she just wanted to quit being a vtuber and youtuber. She also mentioned on twitter that she didn't had access to her twitch account. So probably her old group had the access after she joined animare.
