why do we feel happier without human interaction?

covid was great, i never had to meet anyone, could watch vbijin, anime, read manga/linnies and play vidya all day

now that i have to attend social gatherings again im getting the feeling that im wasting precious time of my life for virtually no benefit
the time lost by showering/shaving/getting dressed/driving somewhere alone could already be filled with chugging some anime episodes
