Considering these 2 filters, a subber needs some support to continue providing content, this usually degenerates into attention whores and drama queens "muh you fags should appreciate my work".
Also since there is too much content, not only LL related but also solo stuff, other subbers only work if their favorite girls are involved.
One last group would be people who studied Japanese for serious shit like work or college and just moved out of the franchise because of irl stuff.
The easiest but most complicated solution at the same time would be to learn nihongo but it will be up to you to consider whether it is worth learning a language that you may not find any use for other than seiyuu/anime shit.
