I've seen a few people mention understanding the era code but most of the eng-dev team, aside from occasionally lurking, tend to work on the git (and maybe also dicksword but idk). As for gd I haven't seen anyone bring it up but maybe I'm wrong. I've fucked around with it a little but I am the opposite of knowledgeable. I oughta get around to learning it seriously though, I'd love to help out however I can (even if it is just emotional support).
Either way it looks like you have the support of most of the people here, so hopefully that inspires you some.
