Really, it wasn't all that great. The voices were nice, but the scares weren't very scary, the jumps not so jumpy, and the mini chainsaw made things almost comical at times. The puzzles were mostly straightforward, and were generally well made IMO (if a bit simplistic). Also, most events flowed into each other, so I only had to spend minimal time wandering around.

Props to the translators though, we need more stuff like this around.

I was reading all of Saya no Uta and just finished after maybe around two hours or less? But now I can't sleep for my trip in the morning because I'm too busy listening to the soundtrack from Saya no Uta and reading all the supernatural and occult books stashed away in the study that I or my family bought over time. Mostly just local ghost stories and some general horror books mixed with actual historical writings that relate to said things, but I was absorbed before I felt like checking /jp/ for a break from reading chapter after chapter of books I'd forgotten about.
