It's not too difficult to be better than Ciel's original route considering how bad it was, I was just hoping that he'd dump the whole love triangle part of her route since that always felt like the more contrived part of the game.

better question is what the fuck is he gonna do with most of Far Side? there's one fight in each route and in Hisui and Kohaku's its a one sided stomp by Akiha so you cant really surpass Arc going full Rei. Hisui's route is just Shiki spazzing out in bed and Kohaku's route centers on her past experiences. Akiha's is the easiest to adapt but its still not chuuni vampire laser battles enough.
