What do you do to stay motivated with your Japanese language studying?

I imported several of the games that I most want to play but will never be localized and I put them right next to my computer so every day I have to look at them and think about how I can finally play these once I have learned enough.

It keeps me motivated.

Does anyone have any experience with those lamps that people use for seasonal affectiveness disorder? The sunlight lamps?

I always feel so rejuvenated and happy when I walk outside and feel the sunlight, but I hate being around people so I often go months without stepping outside of the house.

I would like to bring the sunlight into my house.

The second one is much better.

Why would I want to watch a bunch of shows about guys shooting at each other or riding around in robots? Little girls is adorable and brings happiness to your heart.

Masturbation brings unhappiness.

I have not masturbated in three months and I feel happier than I have felt in years. If you want to feel happy then stop masturbating.

>On one hand, I have never been so desired in my life. Felix ravages my breasts as no one else ever has. It's not sexual hunger, it's actual hunger. Even now, at a year and half, he runs from across the room at the sight of them, tackles me onto the floor or couch, climbs up my body until he's within reach, then draws back and takes a good look, grins and goes in for the attack. People always say of breastfeeding, "It's sensual, not sexual." But it is sexual. He nuzzles and paws at me, grunts, throws his head from side to side as he latches on, his pink mouth warm on my nipple. He tries to get as much as he can into his mouth as his whole body burrows into me, his little heels digging into my thighs and still-soft belly. He kneads the breast he's nursing from with his hand to get more milk, and uses his free hand to tweak, twist and pull on my other nipple. I wonder if he's holding onto it protectively, so no one else can get it.

>In keeping with our Felix-centered life, two months ago my husband and I invited thirty-two babies and their parents to a Valentine's baby brunch. We bought cases of cheap champagne, and the parents we know from yoga and work and the playground ate quiche and bagels, got drunk and pretended it was a kids' party. I started drinking at two. By nine-thirty, after the last guests left, I slurred to Ken, "I love Felix more than I love you."

Have you chosen the path of celibacy in your life?

Is there anyone here who still lives a life of celibacy? I'm seeing too many of these lewd boyfriend threads on /jp/ and I worry that some of you may have fallen to temptation and strayed from the path.

Friendly Reminder: Please remember to use kind alternatives when swearing on /jp/. Mean words can hurt feelings so it's best to use a friendly alternative. Here's a few fun examples to get you started, you can use fugging, fuq, or fug.

Have fun and remember to be kind to others whenever you can!

Is it fun to play a game that you have made?

Learning how to program and eventually make a game sounds like it would be fun, but I worry that once I finish the game I will know everything about it and I'll be so sick of working on it that I won't even want to touch the game. Kind of like writing a book. I doubt anyone writes a book so that they can read it, that would be a little pointless.

Does this happen or is it an enjoyable experience to play a game that you've made?

>implying everyone hates their jobs

No one loves their jobs more than free time. If they did then it wouldn't be a job since it would be such enjoyable work that people would be paying the employer just to work there. Every job involves a task that is unpleasant to some degree, otherwise they have no reason to pay you for doing it. It's nice to have job that you don't despise, but even the best job isn't as good as free time.

>implying I still want to live with my parents

Do you have a bad relationship with your parents? I see no problem with living with my parents since they pay for my expenses, they give me a free place to live, and they're nice people.

>implying being a NEET is a responsible choice and not a childish response to the reality of life

Imagine a hypothetical scenario for a moment. I come up to you and I say that you will have to spend the rest of your life doing horrible labor that you will most likely despise. You will have to do this almost every single day for the rest of your life until you eventually die, but if you want then I'll let you have the next two, three, or maybe even four years off. You can do whatever you want during this time, but then you have to get to work. Would you just say, "No, fuck you. Give me the work right now. Let's start this endless ride of misery!" or would you take those four years?

Work is like death. It comes for all of us at some point, but any sensible person will dodge it like hell for as long as they can.

>but it would be more ideal if I were doing other things.

Why though? Would you enjoy these other things more than the things that you're currently doing?

If so, then why aren't you doing them? In a time like this there really are no limits. Motivation is the only limit, but if you're not motivated to do something then do you actually want to do it and if you don't want to do it then why do you feel upset about not doing it?

Social anxiety prevents you from getting something that you want? Take drugs. Valium, klonopin, etc. Any of these sedatives will do the trick.

Depression? Anti-depressants.

Unable to enjoy anything? Stimulants will help with that.

Medicine has come a long way. There is almost nothing in life that limits you that can't be cured by a pill.

So we can find fossilized soft bodied animals millions of years ago but we can't find a single piece of evidence for an ancient civilization supposedly more advanced than us. Sounds legit.
