1. Miyazaki hates seiyuu, he has said he hates the “anime-style voice acting” they do and only used them early on because Ghibli wasn’t a money making juggernaut yet and couldn’t afford “real actors”.

2. The producer at Ghibli, Toshio Suzuki , is a (as Mamoru Oshii put it) “Hollywood type” producer and agrees with Miyazaki that they are above the standard anime studio and only deserve real actors and not shitty ones (Seiyuu).
