The story:
It used to be just wikia. then when the Wikia owners added some harsh terms and conditions a ton of people jumped ship and created the wiki
They are very similar because the wiki started as a rehosted wikia, and the wikia cribs a ton of new stuff from the wiki.

Wouldn't be much of a problem since, even in grimdark Gensokyo, it's pretty much only critters such as nameless faeries and humans that could die from random violence. There are others that can be "taken down" temporarily or permanently with intent, but nearly impossible to kill on a whim.
In short, murder is easy but manslaughter is hard.
