You mean like larger scale applications, going beyond print statements? Well I would say it's because groups of dedicated programmers create software libraries, which can do stuff like display graphics or manipulate files, introduce a new data structure, etc., for other programmers to use. A full fledged application will import dozens to hundreds of libraries(which may rely on other libraries of their own) depending on the scope of the project and the sophistication of the libraries.
It's hard to explain. Just my amateur 2 cents answer.

So like hypothetically speaking, if someone were to murder Yagoo and entire Cover staff including whatever other higher ups there are, what will happen to the girls? Will they be able to go indie while keeping their avatars since the company they signed contracts with no longer exists? Or is Cover owned by someone else?
