For now, I’ll try and stick to a technological angle, although I believe that the matter is irreducible to that particular field and linked to all manner of continuously evolving, gyrating cultural, socio-economic, political and spiritual substances which if I were to even begin to try to go into I would most likely end up digressing more than Tristram Shandy, which wouldn’t be good for anyone.

Indeed, these are already well understood concepts but stop thinking about Alexa and hordes of Ugandan Knuckles and remember that the wires were plugged into our heads long ago and they’re there permanently, at all times, even when we manage to put down the phone for five fucking seconds. And it never matters if what’s coming down them is an illusion, our reality isn’t made of anything else, it’s all we’ve ever known.

Our techonomic machinery is geared towards removing the barriers between us and our desires with ever increasing speed - however wild they may be.
