Just finished reading nu-Tsukihime.
I was ready to say: "There were a few hiccups along the way, but overall this was a great experience!" at the end of Ciel Normal, but then I went through Ciel True.
Know that meme picture where two guys are trying to mine through dirt to get to diamonds? There was an inverted version of it, where they're digging through diamonds only to get to a massive wall of liquid shit in the end. That's how this felt to me.
What the fuck was the eggplant-mushroom snorting? What was going on through his head when he decided to write this part (besides "mmm, giant woman hot")?
I can only imagine how he'll fuck up Akiha's route. If what doctor tits had said when hyping her up is any indication, is that we'll get a kaiju fight between giant Akiha and giant glowing Arc.
At least Ciel's route was great up until that Babylonia 2 Electric Roa Boogaloo nonsense (and for the bit after it). As one of those three people who were fans of Ciel in the original VN, I am satisfied with that, at least.
Another thing I've realized is that Arc had been really pissing me off the whole time I wasn't on her route, which is odd, since I've never felt that way when reading the original. Must be the VA performance giving life to what was formerly just raw text to me. That Shiki just laughed off what Arc did is utterly ridiculous. Ciel was right all along, Arc is absolute scum.
