Does anyone know how much power the manga/LN/anime publishers association have in Japan?

In this current state of environment I think that they should take a page or the whole book from National Rifle Association on how to deal with outside forces who are trying to destroy freedom, commerce & culture.

Even better (and more relatable) they should also bring up the Violent Video Game Talking Points (with some modifications), apply it to animu/mango/LN and you will convince more people 2D =/= 3D
