I'll admit arcsys is hit or miss for some people, but I find the designs fun.

He's not really as "edgy" as you're making him out to be, perhaps you haven't played any of the story modes? He's more of a sarcastic jerk than anything, with a good eye for people's insecurities.
Terumi's the edgelord of the two. (Not that it particularly bothers me, I find him endearing too.)
