His soul, now having become a Counter Guardian, was summoned by Nazi Beatrice many decades ago, who accidentally a Kinzo.
To preserve the timeline, Heroic Spirit Battler had to take Kinzo's role.. and become Kinzo.

And then Battler was his own grandfather.
