TD's are--german TD's at least, very very good but oh so easily countered by artillery. When they have cover and someone watching their back they are insanely deadly and insanely hard to kill.

This JagdTiger for example, when it was looking like a complete loss.. he, with a King Tiger watching his back, killed 8 enemy tanks including a King Tiger and panther, and still lived with 25% health. Combined with the King Tiger, they took out 11 enemy tanks mostly all alone. In hindsight, I should have taken the screenshot of the tank list.

You absolutely have to have a decent tier tank backing you up or else you will simply be detracked, circled, and killed. And you have to avoid getting shelled by artillery.
