Yeah it's fandom, kind of like how Bowsette blew up. I'm not against fandom but this thread is an established character vs some random extra and /jp/ has a lot of people actually invested in the official works. Anybody actually voting for Momiji most likely don't even play the games or even know anything about the official works.

And Momiji is getting destroyed in the poll numbers so that should tell you something. If you post the same exact poll on /v/ Momiji would most likely win though due to her meme status.

momiji doesnt have a character. most 2hus are left very open and blank. It's very hard to get a feeling of a character from their brief conversations in games.

I agree with you that the trump shit is stupid but I don't see the problem with showing a darker side of touhou. forbidden scrollery is getting pretty dark and showing different sides of gensokyo that were never brought up in other medias before.
