No idea what dev exactly plans to do but UI shows turns, you can visit Roppongi freely and turns pass when you rest or go into dungeon. There STILL seems to be some sort of day-night cycle because I can go to Roppongi and only Roppongi after resting but I didn't play around with it much.
The best thing so far are loading times. This fork still weights 300 MB and has all those good, bad and ugly images but it loads in like 20 seconds tops. dotNET is apparently magic in comparison with bootleg text game engine from 2005.
