It was when Shion met Keiichi for the first time and he was saving her by bullshitting with the thugs, so I guess Ryu decided to reflect the high energy of the situation and hide the nonsensical text by having the text written really fast and having the pages changed really quick so it was hard to read without going through the log.

I agree. The peaceful scenes were really well done. Shion enjoying her newfound freedom and happiness was wonderfully done. I miss that sort of thing in his newer stuff.
