Don't mind the disgruntled detractors, there's actually a huge population of hagchads here (so you're actually in the majority), we're just a bit quiet this weekend because of the new Madonna releases. We have extremely sophisticated discussion about the varying levels of ripeness for mature women so I hope you'll stick around.
Anyway, what you're describing appeals to many of our tastes and the amateur/debut/casting/indie mature woman stuff is definitely a "purer" way of tapping into that more realistic, neglected/repressed housewife energy. I probably still watch more of the big, mature-focused studio productions though since I appreciate the polish and presentation. It also means I can "follow" the releases of the regular actresses rather than be sad when a really promising amateur disappears after 2-3 flicks.
