Nobility might quarrel among themselves to show off who is the coolest feudal lord in the area. But when the peasantry try to do something funny (like questioning the lord's decisions or stir up a rebellion) they magically forget their differences and are all buddy buddy when massacring peasants. They can even call other feudal lords to come and have fun killing peasants that dare to doubt their divine rule.
