People always blame discords, but 90% of discord raids hit porn boards, specifically /gif/ and /h/. The megafaggots are the ones coming from twitter and shit to nab images because they're physically incapable of searching pixiv or a booru. The threads, and even /jp/ barely had an identity but now we have newfags pretending that only redditors misuse double spacing or replying to decent posts with "use a fucking pastebin" instead of the classic tl;dr. I won't say it's cancer–new generations are meant to come and go–but it's always gonna be obnoxious.
But, that's just the grumpy old faggot talking. The threads haven't degenerate to the point of posting basedjak every other image, so it's not even remotely close to the absolute fucking garbage /k/ and /v/ ended up in, and that's part of the main reason I'm still here. Also, I really, really fucking love monstergirls, so there's that.
