Newfag's first ippatsu geinin?

Jason is actually decent when compared to other of his kind. Shouting his catch phrase is annoying, but he usually stops doing it after the first few kanji jokes and the jokes themselves are actually funny and have some variety.
Meanwhile other ippatsu comedians get hugely popular with random rhytmical nonsense that they repeating identically until the general audience gets bored of it in about 6-12 months.

I remember Louis C.K. saying he writes new material once a year for his big live because he wants to keep it fresh.

Japanese comedians on the top level are hosting variety talk shows, do crazy things on variety shows, slow-paced city strolling shows,are MCs/commentators on events and relatively serious news programs and often did skit shows and standup (ie. manzai) in the past. Some of them even do cheapish local shows for regional stations.
