Indeed, a lot of the more recent settings material has emphasized that monsters have some sort of "compatibility sense." If a man truly would not be happy with them then they aren't going to go after him in the first place.

Now this doesn't mean the man won't resist at first, but it does explain why they end up happy without any mindbreaking needed. The monster simply is in a position to know better than him in this situation.

That and when not being worn they often will morph themselves into a sexy armor design.
