I think you might've been delaying the highjump in 5C hjc j.2A a bit too long, which made it easier for me to just jump out instead of BEing. There's nothing you can really do, other than use varied pressure rather than the same string, and get my spirit down so when I do go to chickenblock out, I'll get orb crushed in the air.

Alternatively, you could just learn Okuu and 3A whenever you get someone to block in the air.
