Yasu's aesthetics can be found everywhere in Umineko, but it shouldn't be taken as the real appearance of things. That's true for the Eiserne Jungfrau, who are both embodiment of concepts and given life in vessels shaped by Yasu's gameboard. In that case, cute lolis. That's doubly true for the Chiesters and the Stakes, which embodies concepts that seem to originate from the gameboard - though the Chiesters are a very grey area. It could be only a conceptualization of the concept of firearms in general.

My friends dislike the 'enhancement' from novel to visual novel, as you dislike the 'enhancement' from visual novel without VA to visual novel with VA. Or enhancement in graphics. I don't understand why you have such a negative reaction to meaty hands, i for one can appreciate someone who's hand can grasp an entire basketball. It's quite apparent you've never had someone grasp your entire head in the palm of their hand, I can only pity you. I certainly feel no negative feelings towards his depiction of the characters, but I certainly wouldn't say they're "breathtaking" or they "really add to the story compared to the newer additions". It's all preference, the characters being more 'similar to generic anime characters' is a hilarious apology, some people would most certainly prefer it to the original, and would take it much more seriously than Ryu's crude drawings.
