It's one of those things that looks easy but is actually incredibly hard. The precision and coordination needed to do the basic waack is difficult; point your index fingers at each other, now draw a clockwise circle with your right hand and counter clockwise circle with your left, that is the basic mechanic behind a waack except with your entire arm.

They're on beat though so you're right about you having no sense of rhythm. Maybe you'd appreciate bboying more? It's a bit easier to spot its impressiveness.
