Seija and Goro stood in front of Yukari-Sama's door waiting, apparently still early for their appointment, despite having spent an extra few minutes bandaging each other. Some of the white wolves had stole glances at the two, calling it 'flirting' in hushed tones, gossip I could tell the two heard and ignored, because, I could see the real reason for their foot dragging. It was like when I accidentally broke one of Yukari-Sama's vases and lied about it, I spent hours pacing around the town, knowing I'd eventually have to talk to her.. The odd thing was, she wasn't even mad! Maybe this would be a similar.

"Why aren't they going in?" Flandre whispered next to me in the vent.

"It's 'prot-a-call', they're supposed to wait at the door until Yukari-Sama decides to see them." I whispered back.

The vampire looked at me quizzically. "But I just go in whenever I want?"

"Well you're a special case I think? Ran-san and I certainly couldn't just go in if we wanted to."

"Why?" She asked.

"Because..." I started to say, but stopped.

Why did we have to wait to see Yukari-Sama? She had told us to, of course, but why was that? Was it because she didn't want to be surprised? No, I think it'd be impossible for me to sneak up on Yukari-Sama. Maybe because it was because she couldn't focus when we were around? But Ran-San always helps Yukari-Sama out with computations. Was it maybe because she didn't like being around us? She had pushed me aside for Flan-chan back then...

"They're going in! Come on, I want to know how they cheated at racing!" Flan whispered, pushing me on into the metal corridor.

Right! This wasn't any time for doubt. Anon and everyone else was counting on me! So, Flan and I carefully crawled through the vent, taking extra care to avoid getting our clothes stuck on any stray rivets or creases in the metal, until finally, the three were in view. Yukari-Sama sat at her desk, her hand clasped together holding her face, which wore a happy expression.

"How go the preparations?" Yukari-Sama asked calmly.

"They go well. The Scarlet Devil Mansion has a very capable accountant and I don't foresee any logistical problems with your requests." Goro answered.

"ALL of my requests?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

"By their honor of course, but yes, even THAT ask was within their power. Although one wonders why you wouldn't just procure it yourself?" Goro replied with a grin.

"Takane said the same thing, I could ready my own pans, make my own fire, pour all the ingredients and have it bake perfectly, but then it wouldn't have any meaning you know? And a celebration is all about meaning." Yukari-Sama said, punctuating with a point of her finger.

"'Meaning' a whole new vector of 'excess' more like..." Seija murmured, a fist on her hip.

"You'll see soon my dear Amanojaku, no expense is to great for what we'll be celebrating this solstice." Yukari-Sama said with a curt smile.

Something wasn't right. Anon had snapped at Yukari-Sama and said some very harsh words to her, why was she so serene? Had she done something to him?

"Yes, everyone will see soon, but for now we must discuss more pressing matters, like the hole you two poked outside and inside the HSE. I trust you have a good explanation." Yukari-Sama said with the same relaxed smile.

Goro paused, waiting approximately four seconds before answering, keeping his breathing pattern entierly normal and his posture relaxed. This was it, we were about to get our answers.

"We inverted our existence." He stated plainly.

"Show me." Yukari asked.
