Depends on what you mean by start really.
That website in the FAQ is enough for someone to get a mask and hada, if they need advice then they could use KSZ if they're alright with nsfw stuff, KRI if they aren't and want a space with at least two girls in it.

If they want to get to know people in general and have a place to share stories and pictures then twitter is where most kigs do that.
