They are marketed as 小説 on the offical site, 講談社BOX falls under the light novel department, and the series is under ライトノベル on amazon and bookwalker. You can start nitpicking that 小説 are not Light Novels and that Amazon is wrong but I really don't care to do so.

Have you ever read ZnT? It isn't light at all. A light novel is anything you can buy on amazon under the label of light novel. Even the japanese can't agree on what light novel means.
