wow took me some time to collect all this garbage. at first i wanted to trace down every single bullshit the 'MTL-anon' ever posted under his name, then it turned out to be a much more interesting story

the 'MTL-anon' , being a technically savvy gentlemen, began manually replacing lines in the .mrg file with deepl'd translation, but being technically illiterate enough he wasn't able to write a script to automate the process. thankfully, he managed to find someone else to write the script for him. at the same time he refused to disclose the method he used because, don't forget, we're competing with discord trannies and they might translate the VN translation faster than we deepl it (lol).

literally on the next day the script was 'nearly complete'. presumably the magic script is supposed to save the 'MTL-anon' from the routine of manually copy pasting every line of translated text. unfortunately the MTL script is fucked up and can't be injected automatically by the script as intended, it needs major cleaning up

a day after the 'MTL-anon' claimed he and his friend have injected 70% of the MTL script. how? don't ask. what matters is he had electricity outage. merely one hour later his friend upped the number to 86%. astonishing results. he promises in the next 3 hours full script will be injected. 3 hours later nothing happens

next day we get a message saying that 'MTL is done' but now it needs editing. wait, what? releasing whatever he supposedly managed to inject is not an option for reasons unknown. later on the 'MTL'-anon' barges into the thread, proclaims that he DECIDED on the stages of this project: editing MTL, editing MTL again, and then properly translating it. okay? but where's raw unedited MTL patch? he ignores the questions

the 'MTL-anon' promises a 'coherent patch' this month or even this weekend. crazy, right? on the same day he announces that a french TL group btfo'd him in creating a script 'that automatically replaces lines'. but didn't the 'MTL-anon' had the same script? or how it was even possible to inject 70-86% of 43000 lines of text manually in under a day even though he claimed he almost felt asleep after replacing just 10 lines? don't think about it or you're a tranny. he asks if he should release the unedited MTL patch or not, half of the anons ask for it, he ignores them. why bother asking then? because it's not a question, it's a method to validate his refusal from releasing the raw MTL.

but he had good news for those who wanted a raw MTL patch. now you can just do it yourself. just translate 43000 lines of text one by one, it's easy. or maybe just release the MTL patch he made? no. release the script his friend wrote for him? no. but with good news, there's bad news. he confesses in being a pathological liar. who could have thought, right? his script doesn't work. shocking. you can only wonder how he intended to release the MTL patch with a broken script. and the only logical answer: he never had it. what a shame

all these mountains of bullshit aside the 'MTL-anon' managed to post, what's interesting are some 'anonymous' posts made throughout 3-days saga of sweet promises and broken scripts. 'anonymous' posts in regard of the MTL translation project change their position together with new progress reports from the 'MTL-anon'. after creating the spreadsheet and managing to recruit volunteers to edit the script, some posts begin proposing turning it into 'an actual TL'. later on you might notice posts encouraging to join the editing process for quicker results. next post emerge with 'anti-raw MTL' stance, they claim nobody is interested in unedited script. on the next day after being asked by the 'MTL-anon' if he should release the raw or edited patch, some posts demand the edited one in the same manner with the same arguments of the raw MTL being shit. the next stage of anti-raw MTL posts is right up insulting you for asking a raw MTL patch and moving the goal post that anons can just use the text hooker if they want to read the raw MTL so much. the 'anti-raw MTL' stance progressing from passive to aggressive strongly correlates with the time the 'MTL-anon' found volunteers to edit the script and discovering that his script is a broken piece of junk. coincidence? i don't think so

this 'project' is led by an incompetent liar and is no better than whatever the fuck 'hollow moon' does. both of them practice lack of transparency, both of them forgot this is not a e-peen contest. wait for the proper tools from the french guys (the only people who showed real results of their work, not just screenshots and empty promises), their script is still raw and needs lots of manual labor. it's okay if you're a real translator but not okay if you want just to deepl large chunks of text. editing the spreadsheet made by the 'MTL-anon' might be risky but if you're fine with potentially incompatible results and wasted time, you're on your own here
