Actually, I've always been on the pro-artifact side (I actually started playing with the affinity starter deck), I didn't care about Jace or the bird, and the blade only ever did 'win more' against me. Stoneforge Mystic, however, needs to die and all people involved with the creation of it should be hunted down.

As for your specific examples:
-The titans are just printing money, in the same way as flashy rares (in this case mythic) are for printing money. They're flashy, but not actually problematic balance-wise.
-Jace was a mistake which was not caught in playtesting. Generally cards are playtested to near-perfection making fuckups like these rare, but this one just slipped through. Besides which, Jace wasn't actually that bad. I played the Jace-dominated Standard and I found Stoneforge Mystic to be the truly problematic piece of the deck. Jace just turns the overwhelming advantage to a certain victory; Stoneforge Mystic should be blamed for giving the player such advantage in the first place.
-The Stoneforge Mystic + Batterskull issue occurred because Magic sets are created long before they're released. By the time Cawblade popped up, it was too late to remove Batterskull. (Note that Stoneforge Mystic was originally a crap rare, only upon the release of Scars did it get any attention and only with the addition of living weapons did it become truly broken.)

Jace is very overrated. Sure, it's a very powerful card, but not nearly the most broken card in Standard at that point - picture is the main reason the Cawblade deck was unstoppable. Jace caused you to keep the advantage in the game from the moment he's in play, basically ensuring your win when you already had a big advantage. However, for that to have any effect, you need to have the advantage in the first place.

The way Cawblade got this ridiculous advantage was by playing Stoneforge Mystic in turn two, which if not countered, allowed the player to grab either a living weapon or the also broken Sword of Feast and Famine (the reason Jace was so powerful), and if it's not dealt with in one turn, said equipment is immediately put into play the very next turn - and it cannot be countered.

The other big problem is the Sword of Feast and Famine. Playing Jace (costs 4 mana, leaving you tapped out) became a much better decision when you could just untap your lands after playing him. Then, with Jace's ability, you could make sure you have counterspells in your hand to make sure your opponent can't do anything about the Sword or Jace. However, without the Sword, you would not have the mana to actually use these spells, meaning Jace would likely get screwed over in the turn you're completely defenseless. The Sword untapped your lands allowing you to play Jace and still counter the same turn.

Really, how many Standard decks other than Cawblade did you see abusing Jace? Practically zero (there were probably some unsuccessful decks trying it but failing). Jace, by itself, isn't that broken. Jace didn't win tournaments. The Cawblade deck did.

Archer is already a card.
