The thing isn't even out yet, you don't even know how useful it'll be. All they showed in the trailer was it turning on the lights and the air conditioner.

And seriously mate, why the fuck would they make it *less* useful than Amazon's or Google's offerings? The tech to do these things properly is already out there, you just have to copy it. It's like saying you can put a smart-TV out without Netflix, when no sane company would ever not offer something like that on their product, because that's just the standard nowadays.

Yeah, because a cat or a pet is the one-size-fits-all solution to loneliness. Some people don't like animals, some people think cats and animals in general are unhygienic, and some people just can't be hassled to take care of a pet for what it gives back. Again, all this thing requires for upkeep is for you to plug it into an outlet. You have to buy food for pets, keep litter boxes clean, and take them to the vet occasionally.
